Water safety is a top concern as we move into summer. Drowning is silent. We learned that the hard way after my daughter’s near-drowning a few years ago. Since then, I’ve had moms come to me with stories of all kinds of near misses since our experience. It’s scary just how quickly an accident can happen.
Water accidents are preventable though, if you follow some important safety guidelines. The ZAC Foundation, an organization that works to promote water safety, has come up with some important tips to help parents keep their kids safe near the water this summer. We’ve worked with The ZAC Foundation in previous years and love the work that they are doing.
To keep things simple, The ZAC Foundation has created, what they call, the A, B, C, D’s of water safety.
